Employer Obligations for PF Nomination Forms: Are Hard Copies Really Necessary?

masifhe
1. Does the employer have any obligation to collect PF nomination forms from employees? We are not collecting hard copies of the nomination form but guiding them to update the same through the UAN member portal. Does this cover the company's obligation?

2. Is it mandatory to submit the hard copies of the nomination form to the PF office?

3. For gratuity, do we need to keep a separate nomination form or can we use the same one used for PF? Please share the Nomination Form as well.

Dear Asifji,

Please ensure all PF-covered employees file their nomination/amendment in UAN Member Portal. Please peruse the attachment, which is self-explanatory. You have to obtain Gratuity Nomination Form-Form F from all employees who have completed 1 year of service in duplicate. One copy duly signed by the employer to be returned to the employee. The original is to be filed in the personal file.

Dear all,

EPFO has issued a circular regarding user-friendly e-nomination procedures on their portal. The online process sheet is also provided for members' guidance. Please refer to the attached circular for more details.

Thank you.
