Show Cause for lawyer - absconded from my previous organisation due to too much work load

Dear Seniors,

I was terminated from my previous organization due to an excessive workload, and now they have sent me a show cause notice.

Please advise on what I should do next.

Wait for the letter to be received and reply accordingly. There is no such thing as running away because of too much work. You could have communicated with your concerned HoD and informed them of the prevailing conditions instead of running away or shirking your responsibilities. This platform is for seeking advice when you face issues without being on the wrong side of the law.

Upon receipt of the letter, you may try to talk to the management, explain your side of the issue, accept your fault, seek forgiveness, and try to find a solution to face the issue head-on.

Thanks and Regards

Hi,

If you have received the letter from the organization for a show cause, then you shall reply to it in writing and meet HR for your clearance formalities. Please note, the letter is being issued as you are absconding from the job. If you were not planning to continue with the job, then you should have resigned from the organization and completed your clearance formalities. This is the correct way of closing/ending your employment with the organization.

Hi,

You should reply to the show cause notice by providing valid reasons for your absence. Additionally, send a formal resignation letter reiterating the reasons for your decision. Please dispatch both letters via registered AD mail or deliver them personally to HR, obtaining acknowledgment for both. If required by the company, be prepared to offer payment in lieu of notice.

Thank you.

Dear Seniors,

I have noted your guidelines, and I worked at that company for only 2 months during the probation period, after which I absconded from there. I forgot to mention that the company's lawyer sent a show cause notice to me.

They are claiming a gross pay for notice pay recovery (Rs. 45,000), and I really don't have that much amount. Please guide me further.

Thank you.
