Employer's responsibility for medical treatment and compensation of injured employee

I am looking to understand how an employer would be deemed responsible for medical treatment expenses/ compensation of an injured employee who met with an accident during duty hours.
Please help me with which Acts and Sections I can refer to with respect to this matter.

Please note that mere duty hour would not be considered criteria.

Please check the establishment ESIC or medical insurance policy. If the establishment is an industrial one then there must be all rules comes in force when the establishment employed 10 or more worker men working with power or 20 or more without power

I would request you first to go through the Employees Compensation Act,1923.
In this connection, you may also refer to the very many threads containing answers on various queries relating to employment accidents, liability of the employer to medical expenses for the injuries sustained by the employee and compensation for the resultant physical disability respectively and settlement of claims in this regard under the provisions of the said Act on citehr.com itself.
