Does My Small Electronic Assembly Unit Fall Under the BMC Factory Act? Seeking Guidance

I have a small unit with 6 workers and use 3hp of power in a drill machine and mini grinder. We do electronic assembly work. Do we come under the Factory Act of BMC? Kindly help.

What is being carried on in the unit with 6 workers is a manufacturing process. Therefore, in my opinion, it would not come under the purview of the Shops and Establishments Act. However, check whether such units are notified as factories under Section 85(1) of the Factories Act, 1948 in your State.
