Welfare Officer Qualifications in Tamil Nadu: Can a Social Work Master's Degree Meet the Requirements?

Can we notify a person who is qualified in Master of Social Work (Medical and Psychiatric) as a Welfare Officer of a Factory in Tamil Nadu as per the provisions of the act?

For the hiring of a welfare officer, please ensure compliance with state rules as well as the Factories Act, 1948.

Dear Colleague,

Under the FA and state rules, approved qualifications are outlined. To the best of my knowledge, the qualification of MSW with specialization in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work is not approved for the appointment of Welfare Officer. However, please refer to your state factories rules in this regard.
