If an employee committed suicide, what is the status of the pension under EPF for the widow and children?

The cause of death is immaterial. The employer has to file EXIT Details - Death while in service in the PF Portal. Apart from returning EPF accumulations to the nominee, spouses, and children are eligible for EPS and EDLI. A death certificate is required before proceeding further in the matter.
