PF Withdrawal Dilemma: How to Handle Name Mismatch Between PF and Bank Accounts?

My wife worked at a company in Bangalore two years ago. Currently, she is not employed and wishes to withdraw her PF amount. The issue we are facing is that her name in the PF account differs from her bank account. Please advise on how to proceed with the PF withdrawal.

Correct either of the names and apply for withdrawal once again.

In case she needs to correct her name in the EPFO, fill up a joint declaration form and submit it to the employer. They will sign and submit it further for name changes.
