Employer Misspelled My Name in PF Records: How Long Will Correction Take and What If It Fails?

I have a PF account, and all the details are correct in my PF number. However, my employer submitted one year of PF deductions under the wrong name. They misspelled my name while submitting their ECR. As a result, the amount is not reflecting in my e-passbook. I have contacted my employer, and they mentioned that the correction process will take about 2 months. Could you please advise on the expected timeline for this correction? Also, in case the employer fails to rectify the issue, what steps should I take?

There is no correlation of your name with PF contribution; you need to check your PF contribution using your UAN number only. For a change in name, the fastest way is to log in online and apply for a name change based on your Aadhar card seeded for the PF number.
