I work with a German MNC in Pune and hold the position of HR & admin Officer. I was diagnosed with jaundice on 17th May '18. Due to continuous vomiting and dehydration, I was unable to work as I was weak. I received IV treatment for 10 days, and my doctor advised a month of rest due to my weakness and severe headaches.
Upon returning on 26th June '18, my company is now claiming that the company doctor disagrees, stating that 10 days of leave should suffice. I have accumulated 4 years of sick leave but have never taken any due to company policy—using sick leave affects bonuses. I possess all necessary doctor certificates and medical reports, yet the company is still not permitting the leave.
Please suggest a course of action.
