Salary Increase Over 15k: Can We Stop PF Deductions Now?

The PF from the employee was deducted as his salary was within the threshold limit of Rs. 15,000/- gross per month. Now, the salary has been increased, and as per the threshold limit, the employee is opting out from the deduction as his salary is more than the prescribed limit for PF. Is it possible to discontinue the deduction.

He has become an exempt employee under the act. However, if the employee and employer are willing to contribute, then he can continue to be a member.

Once an employee becomes a member of the PF, he can't discontinue it. However, you can restrict his deduction to Rs. 15,000.
