Understanding Maternity Benefits under ESIC
The rate of maternity benefit shall be equal to the standard benefit rate. The Standard Benefit Rate means the average daily wages obtained by dividing the total wages paid during the contribution period by the number of days for which these wages were paid. In other words, ESIC provides 100% of average daily wages in cash for up to 26 weeks in confinement and 6 weeks in the case of miscarriage during maternity leave, and 12 weeks for commissioning and adopting mothers.
You may please go through the literature on maternity benefits from the website of ESIC so that you may be able to know about the benefits available to you.
