Pregnant and No Longer Contributing to ESI: Can I Still Get Benefits?

I contributed to ESI for one year until March 2018, around $350 per month. Now, my salary scale has varied, and there is no longer any contribution. I am pregnant, and my due date may be in January 2019. Is there any possibility of receiving any ESI benefits?

For the benefits to accrue during January 2019, the contribution period is from 1st April to 30th September, which unfortunately is a non-contribution period for you. So, you are ineligible as per the chart below:

Contribution Period: 1st April to 30th Sept.
Cash Benefit Period: 1st Jan of the following year to 30th June
