Worried About Background Check Approval? How to Handle a Closed Company's Verification Issues

I have an offer from CTS, and they conduct third-party background verification checks. One of my previous organizations is closed, so there is no response from the official email ID, and physical verification has also failed.

The CTS BGV team has requested Form 16 from that organization for the financial year 2013-2014. However, during that period, my salary was under the tax slab, so I do not have Form 16. I possess all other documents such as a relieving letter, service letter containing my joining date and last working date, offer letter, appointment letter, salary slips, bank statements, and PF number.

Could you please confirm if my BGV will be approved with the aforementioned documents? Thank you in advance.

What I suggest is that you should try discussing the matter with your HR Head or the most senior personnel in your company to persuade them of the facts. Prepare a tabulation of the salary sheets, along with your bank statement, PF passbook/statement from your portal.

Company closures and relocations are not within your control. As mentioned by the learned member above, gather all salary slips, PF statements, etc., from your previous company and present them to management.
