Request for Updated PowerPoint Presentation on Labor Laws
Many new HR professionals have asked me a common question: Can we have a PowerPoint presentation on labor laws with updated information on the amendments? Many of them call me and seek advice over the phone as well. Recently, a student from a business school who had attended my sessions for their Certificate Program on Personnel Management and Industrial Relations, which the college had offered to students pursuing an MBA in HR as an add-on course, contacted me and requested an updated version of the PowerPoint presentations.
In reality, like any other student, this individual should have attended the sessions with an academic mindset, understanding that they would not receive any credits or grades for their university examinations. Consequently, they may not have stored the materials properly. However, after securing a job in the HR department of a manufacturing company where the workers and union leaders are well-informed about changes in labor laws, they should have recognized the importance of the program they missed during their campus days.
Program Overview and Sharing Plan
Indeed, the program comprised five modules, with Labor Law being one of them. This module provided an overview of the various laws relevant to HR professionals, along with case study materials. Since the modules belong to me and the individual who conducted the sessions is also mine, I can easily share them with the members of citehr. Before commencing the sessions, though, I would like to determine whether the sessions will yield any results and, if so, how to proceed. I believe that sharing one PowerPoint presentation per week, featuring a few laws and supporting case laws or discussions on citations, will be sufficient. This is envisioned as an interactive program where we can seek assistance from our knowledgeable members.
I look forward to receiving feedback. The attached document contains the program content.
