I have a query regarding ESIC. In an emergency, I admitted my wife to a private hospital in the 8th month of pregnancy. The doctor suggested an immediate operation for delivery. At that time, I was not able to inform ESIC due to my ignorance of ESI benefits, even though I am listed in ESIC. Her medical expenses exceed my paying capacity. Now, we want to claim her medical expenses from the ESI department as I have been contributing to ESIC for more than 2 years. Is it possible to claim these expenses from ESIC in this case? If yes, what is the complete procedure for this?
