Is an Employee Eligible for a Statutory Bonus After Working Only 10 Days in April 2018?

One of our employees resigned on 9th April 2018. His employment details are given below:

1. Date of Joining: 01-09-2012
2. Date of Resignation: 9th April 2018
3. Date of Relieving: 13th April 2018
4. Actual Number of working days in April '18: 10 days
5. Basic + DA: 14,500/-

His statutory bonus up to 31-03-2018 has been cleared and paid. Is he eligible for statutory bonus for April '18 - as he has worked only for 10 days in the new financial year? Please clarify.

No, he is not eligible to be paid statutory bonus for the AY 2018-19, as he has not rendered the minimum qualifying service of 30 working days in the establishment during the said AY as laid down in sec. 8 of the Payment of Bonus Act, 1965.
