My relieving letter has the leaving date of 'X' Company and the joining date of company 'Y' overlap for 40 days. 'X' company has not corrected it; it has been a year, and I have tried a lot. How should I explain this situation to the other company? Will they accept it or consider it as dual employment?
X - joined on 26.6.13, left on 02.1.15. The relieving letter's leaving day is noted as 12.2.15 because it was issued on 12.2.15 as per exit formalities.
Y - joined on 06.1.15. 'Y' does not require a relieving letter from 'X,' and 'X' did not provide one. They asked me to continue for 5 years as part of a bond and did not increase my salary. The atmosphere was oppressive, so I stayed for only 10 days after resigning and then left. The joining date for 'Y' was fixed, and they did not require a relieving letter even after 40 days of follow-up. 'X' considered my leaving day as 12.2.17, but I was not aware at that time. I tried to follow up and make changes, but they knowingly did not update it. I did not receive any salary from 'X' for the period after I left. Should I include this experience on my resume, or should I omit it? Both companies share the same UAN, but the PF is not transferred. Experts, please advise on how to proceed. 'X' is not correcting the letter and is providing evasive responses, stating that the last working day is different from the leaving day, so they cannot amend the letter.
