Rejoining an Employee: UAN and ESIC Considerations

One of my employees resigned on April 1, 2017, and the Form 10 for him was completed. However, he has not yet withdrawn his fund and is now willing to rejoin. Is it possible to reinstate his name on the muster roll while keeping the same UAN, or do we need to treat him as a new employee and start from scratch? Since he has not withdrawn his funds, I would like to know the correct steps to take. Please guide me regarding both PF and ESIC, as more than a year has passed since his name was removed from ESIC due to resignation.

You have to issue a new joining letter and complete all the facilities again as, for the past year, your organization has not been making any contributions to ESIC and PF departments on their behalf.

Thanks in anticipation,

Thank you, Samsheerji. However, the employee has not withdrawn his fund. As per your perspective, if everything needs to be redone, how could one employee have 2 UANs? Since the employee has not withdrawn his fund, his UAN still exists in the PF.
