Being Authorised signatory - working as HR Business Partner with a startup company

nisha-c
I have been working as an HR Business Partner with a startup company. I would like to know, being an authorized signatory for your company's financial matters, would be recommended or not? I am in a position where I am accountable for business operations as well, and hence it would be great if you could suggest to me what the pros and cons are. Thank you.

Dear,

It depends on what type of contribution you are making towards the company. In your question, you referred to yourself as a "Business Partner." Any person who is of legal age and mentally fit can be a partner. The important aspect is how involved he/she is in the business, whether it is solely financial contribution or financial contribution combined with active participation in the business.

Please consider if you have executed/entered into any partnership deed, have you registered it, or have you opened a bank account in the name of the partnership business. This depends on the specific role you are playing in the business.
