Met an accident while returning from emergency duty in night - am I eligible for compensation?

I had met an accident while returning from emergency duty in night order given by company gm. I am not covered under Esic or any medical insurance. Due to accident my ligament is damaged and operated. My question is I am eligible for compensation or not.
