Navigating Pension Application: What Documents Are Needed for a 58-Year Service Veteran?

Naresh Arvind
Dear Seniors,

We have an employee who has completed 58 years of service. Please guide me on the process to apply for pension. Is Form No. 10D sufficient, or do I need to enclose any other documents? Since his total service has been transferred to the current organization, I believe that there is no need to apply any scheme certificates to enclose the claim form (10D).

Kindly suggest to me in case there are any requirements.

Regards,

Required Documents for EPFO Pension Application

1. With this form, you will be required to attach the bank account proof (copy of passbook/canceled cheque). For this, you must have an account in the bank designated by EPFO for the pension facility. For details of such a bank, you can visit your nearby EPFO office.

2. Four photographs of your family, including you, your spouse, and children below the age of 25 years. Previously, EPFO asked for three photographs, but now they are requesting four photographs.

3. Age proof of the member and family, as shown in the photograph.

4. Any scheme certificate issued earlier by any EPFO.

All the above documents and the form should be attested by your employer or any gazetted officer. The form should be submitted in duplicate for the home state and triplicate for out-of-state.

Dear sir,

Thank you so much for your valuable reply. Sir, please tell me, does the claimant need to have a bank account in SBI or Andhra Bank only, or can any other bank be acceptable?

Thanks & Regards,

Naresh K
