Background Check Worries: Will 20 Days Less Experience Affect My Job Offer?

I attended CTS walk-in and got selected. They conducted walk-ins for professionals ranging from 18 to 34 months of experience and above. In my resume, I only mentioned the month of joining and resigning from my previous company, so they were not aware of my exact experience. I have 20 days less than 18 months of experience. Will this affect the background verification process?

These factors are easily explainable to the new employer. In BGV, all these factors will get revealed. However, your explanation should be logical, especially regarding the probation period and the fact that you left for a new job during the probation itself.

Thank you for your reply, Nathrao.

The exact situation is that I have 17 months and 10 days of experience from my previous employer. I have mentioned in my resume that I have 18 months of experience. Now, I have received the offer letter, and in the Background verification, I provided my joining and relieving dates, which show that I am 20 days short. I wanted to know if these 20 days really matter. Will they still consider me for this job? Is this a serious issue? I simply rounded off 17 months and 10 days to 18 months.

It all depends on how many people attend the walk-in. Twenty days rounding off should not be such a big issue.
