In an organisation, each person has to be respected for his age, knowledge, skill, experience and above all his or her ideas relating to organisational goals, targets, cost-saving on men, money and material. Such initiatives and respect should not be limited to this week only. It should go beyond that ie 365 days in a year. Unless one gives respect to others, we will not get from others. This week, ask each and every employee to greet the other person and if he is a known person, he should sit and talk with him for a few minutes, on why he respects the other person ie for his age, knowledge or skill or experience.. Let everybody spend a few minutes with each other. Ask them to post their interaction to a common intranet portal based module or frees pace for people to do their posting on their encounters. Once it starts growing by everybody posting, it will look formidable and great.. People will enjoy the encounters and share their experiences ! At the end of the week, tell the people that this giving respect should happen throughout the year although this week, it was launched ! And then tell me how things went off !
