Employee Absent All Month: How Should Salary, PF, and ESIC Be Handled?

Please suggest to me: if an employee remains absent for the entire month, how should his salary, PF, and ESIC (if applicable) be treated.

Notwithstanding his absence, if you pay the entire month's salary to the employee, the contributions to both the EPFO and the ESIC have to be paid accordingly. Contrarily, if you don't pay due to unauthorized absence, the question of contributions does not arise at all.
