Respected senior members,
I would be grateful if you could help me with this situation. I am working as an HR executive in an engineering college. There is a faculty member who has been absent for the last month on medical leave. He has sent a doctor's certificate by email, but it does not mention how many days will be required for recovery.
Following that, I have sent a letter to him requesting that he submit all relevant medical documents such as doctor's prescriptions, reports, and medicine bills to prove that he is ill. However, he has neither submitted any documents nor replied to date.
What can I do? Please suggest if I can terminate him. Is it legally right or not? Please guide.
