Guidance on Employee Leave Due to Accident
Please share your guidance on the following concerns:
1. One of our employees (non-ESI) met with an accident while on duty and cut his right thumb, necessitating bed rest for a month. While the company is covering the medical expenses, I require clarification in two areas:
a) Absence from duty: According to the doctor's advice, should the one-month period be considered as part of the leave entitlement as per policy, or can special leave/accident on duty leave be granted? If so, under which ACT are such special leaves mentioned?
