Dear Seniors,
Please help on the topic - Father expired in a road accident on 1st September 2018. He had an EPF subscription starting from 01/04/2015. Upon joining, the pension was not deducted as per his date of birth (DOB), which should have been considered for the pension in EPF. However, the employer did not include it (joining age 57 years when EPF started), with a salary of 12800/-. What should be done now? Is there any hope for the pension for the mother?
I want to claim EPF and EDLI. The consultant advises bringing proof of the date of birth of the father and mother. The father's Voter ID card will not be considered valid proof of DOB, as Aadhar only contains the year of birth. There are no other documents related to the DOB. Please advise if there is any other way to prove the DOB, and what about the pension, as EPF was deposited in the employee share and the difference (not in the pension account).
Thank you.
