Dear Pinki,

You can use the following components for calculating salary:

1) Basic - 50% of Gross
2) HRA - 40% of Basic
3) CCA - Rs. 825/-
4) Medical Allowance - Rs. 1250/-
5) Other Allowances (all balance)

For example, if the Gross salary is Rs. 10000, then:
1) Basic: Rs. 5000
2) HRA: Rs. 2000
3) CCA: Rs. 825
4) Medical Allowance: Rs. 1250
5) Other Allowances: Rs. 925
Total: Rs. 10000

After that, you can make deductions if any.

Thanks

Dear Priyanka,

Gross salary is the sum of all components like Basic, DA, HRA, CCA, MA, CEA, etc. Basic salary means fulfilling the essential needs of employees such as food, education, house rent, etc.

Thanks
