Can a Government Employee Claim LTA for a Spouse Working in a Private Job?

Husband is working in a government sector, and the wife is working in a private company as a contractual employee drawing 70,000/- per month. Her company has certified that they do not have the provision of LTA. Now, is the husband eligible to claim LTA for his wife from the government organization in which he is working? Please comment.

Yes.

A government servant can claim LTA for his wife even if she works for a private company that provides LTA. Such issues only arise when both individuals are in government service.

Yes, when a wife is in government service, LTA cannot be claimed. However, if she is in a private company, LTA can be claimed.
