The importance of proper grooming in hospitality industry needs hardly any explanation. But non-observance of grooming standard, is it the problem itself or is the symptom of a larger problem, like low morale or -ve attitude. First of all to make a change, do you have the whole -hearted support of top management, which is very essential before you venture into any corrective action. Pl convince your top management on the need and your action plan. Next, you need to develop small modules on what is proper grooming, its importance, its advantages, modern trends, value of customer relations, expectation of customer etc. You may reward some employees for their best turn out, best customer relations etc. This has to be a well thought out process.
