Navigating PF Transfers: What to Do When Your Old PF Account Isn't Closed Yet?

Hi, I need help with my case. I was working at Company A (which has a PF Facility) in Pune for almost 9 years. My PF account is from the Pune office. I then moved to Company B in Pune, but they maintained my PF account in their Bangalore office through their PF Trust. I worked there for 1 year and 11 months. Unfortunately, I left my job and needed money urgently, so I applied to withdraw my PF amount at the Company's Bangalore office, where they processed it immediately (Withdrawal Successful). Before that, I discovered that the amount from my Pune PF account had not been transferred to the Bangalore account, even though I provided details of my PF account from Company A when joining Company B. Now, I am searching for a new job. If I get a job that offers a PF Facility, what should I do in this case regarding PF? My Pune PF account is still not closed. I need suggestions. You can transfer your existing PF account (of Pune) to a new PF account generated with the company where you will join now. Before that, once again, make sure that you have not transferred the PF of Pune to the Trust account in Bangalore. This can be done by contacting the Accounts department of the PF in Pune.

As I mentioned, "I wanted to withdraw my PF amount, so I applied for the same at the Company's Bangalore Office, and they processed it immediately - Withdrawal Successfully."

I have withdrawn from the company's PF Trust account. Before that, I confirmed from the PF Office in Pune that the balance hadn't been transferred to the Trust Account of Company B, and I can still see the online passbook for the same account from Company A.

So, as per your advice, I can transfer my Company A account to my new company account.

Yes, if the amount is not transferred to the Bangalore PF Trust account, you can transfer it now to the new establishment PF account.
