Late Nights and Tardiness: How Does Your Company Handle Next-Day Delays?

What policy do the companies follow for members who stay late for work and subsequently end up coming late the next day.

In our company, we mark half a day's leave for three instances of tardiness. I am interested in knowing the best practices that other companies follow in this regard.

Can anyone share their best practices on this matter?

You can offer employees who come late due to staying late the previous day an opportunity to adjust their schedule. Share the late arrival sheet with his/her Head of Department (HOD) for permission to arrive late and allow him/her to make up the time. After approval from the HOD, do not deduct leave for late arrival as a reward for good service. After a few months of observation, ask the HOD about the continuous late arrival of employees in his/her department. Request adjustments in work planning, manpower requirements, and conduct a gap analysis accordingly.

Does the rule grace period, late check-in, early check-out, and mandatory leave terms apply to a person working under retainership in a company? Please clarify, dear friends.
