Struggling to Claim My Pension Contribution After Leaving a Job – Any Advice?

pooja-dangi
Dear Ma'am / Sir,

I worked with an organization for 5 months and 26 days. After 3 years, I have applied for my full PF amount, but I received only the PF contribution amount and not the Pension contribution amount. I filled up Form 10C and Form 15G. I want to receive my Pension contribution amount as well. Can you please help me out? How can I get the remaining amount? Is there any other option?

Regards,
Pooja

Pension Contribution Withdrawal Guidelines

Pension contributions can be withdrawn only if you have worked for 6 months. That is why your request for withdrawal of the pension amount has been rejected.

Understanding the Pension Scheme

As per the Pension Scheme, a fraction of 6 months in a year will be counted as one year of service. At the same time, a service short of one day for 6 months will be ignored; therefore, please ignore it.

Employer's Contribution to Pension Fund

Please remember that the Pension fund is a contribution by the employer. When you withdrew your PF, you took back whatever you had contributed plus a portion of the employer's share.
