Can I Use Casual Leave During My Notice Period Before Resigning?

solomon-sahu
Dear sir,

I have 4 casual leaves and 17 paid leaves, and I want to resign from my current company. However, to ensure my training at the next job, I will need to take some days off, such as casual leaves. Can I take casual leave after applying for the notice period, considering my company will not pay me for casual leaves?

Regards,
Solomon Sahoo.

Leave During Notice Period

Availing leave, in general, is subject to the exigencies of service, particularly during the notice period. If leave is allowed, it could hinder the transition of your duties and responsibilities to your successor. As such, you can seek an adjustment of 17 days of paid leave against the notice period. If you are still pressed for time, you may seek early relieving and pay off the remaining notice period. Casual leave can be allowed, but it is subject to approval by the controlling official; it cannot be claimed as a matter of right.
