Am I Eligible for Maternity Leave After 14 Months Without a Confirmation Letter?

Venkat Nildhara
I am working in a manufacturing company as a sales coordinator. Still, I have not received any confirmation letter from the company. I have completed 14 months here. Now, I want to apply for maternity leave. Am I eligible for that or not? My joining date was January 1, 2017, and the probation period was 6 months. Now, the probation period is complete. So, please give me a solution.

A female employee who has completed 80 days of continuous service is entitled to maternity benefits. Whether you have received a confirmation letter or not is immaterial. Please search online for the act and inform about your pregnancy as stipulated in the act and rules. If your company employs 10 or more individuals, the Maternity Benefit Act is applicable to it.

Assuming that the Act applies to your organization, in which case, with the details you have provided, you are entitled to maternity benefits. Kindly read the Act and inform the company as outlined.
