How old records required for P F inspection

Dear senior,
could you please share the circular /notification regarding the PF inspection.can enforcement officer ask for old records prior than five years.is it mandatory to kept old records? if yes than how old.

The limitation Act does not apply to EPF & ESI.You are required to produce the records for the period mentioned in Inspection Notice.you are required to maintain records till inspection is completed
