What Happens If You Miss Work During Your Notice Period? Seeking Advice on Potential Consequences

Anonymous er
I was working in an insurance company. It was all going well until I got a new assignment. I tried my level best, but I couldn't work up to the mark. I was assured by my senior authority that another person would join to help me out, but he joined very late. I had to work long hours, approximately 12 hours a day, as per office requirements. Then, there came a day when I was absent for around 4-5 days without providing any information. Finally, I resigned for the third time, giving a short notice period of only 10 days. On the 6th day, I did not serve my notice period properly. I submitted all my assets except for the charge handover. What consequences could I face for such actions?

The issue here is that you have not been able to cope up and have not handled your job properly. Your exit also has been on the grounds of absence and a shorter notice period. The company can withhold the notice period pay and terminate you with adverse remarks by holding a domestic inquiry. The charge has also not been handed over; all this will go against you. What are the terms and conditions given in your appointment order? You need to follow those conditions fully and sort out affairs with your company.
