By mistake, I marked a member as exited in EPFO, and now it is not possible to remove the exit date. Kindly suggest how to remove the exit date from the EPFO portal?

Dear all,

Once you have marked the exit date, only the PF authority has the right to change or edit the date. Therefore, if you need to correct a date, please do so on your company letterhead along with the UAN numbers of the employees. Submit that form to the EPFO EDP department.

As an employer, you need to submit a request letter to the EPF Office to change the exit date for the EPF member ID or UAN number.

Hi,

Since the employer has marked the date of exit erroneously on the online portal, the same information needs to be included on the company letterhead of the respective employees (provided with UAN number). This letter should be submitted to the PF Office SRO/RO, whichever is applicable, and a copy should be handed over to the particular section case worker to avoid any discrepancies.

There is a joint declaration form for changes to be made. Along with this form, the employer has to provide a covering letter with the request to change.
One employee exit option is not showing in the employer portal. What is the solution? Please guide me. Is it necessary to remove the employee from the employer portal.

Dear Friend,

If you are unable to see the member exit option in the employer portal, it means the exit date has already been posted on their portal. Please log in to the member portal and check their service history.

I worked in my previous company from 01 Oct 2009 to 15 Jun 2017. I then joined another organization on 29 Jun 2017. However, my previous employer did not mark the date of exit (despite my continuous follow-up and EPF grievance submission).

Updating Date of Exit on EPFO Portal

I am now trying to update my date of exit through the EPFO Portal due to a new facility available. However, I am facing difficulty in marking the correct date of exit as my previous employer contributed for the month of July 2017 to my account. The EPFO Portal is prompting me to enter a date in July 2017.

My date of joining in my current organization is 29 Jun 2017.

Please suggest what further steps I can take.
