What is the penalty for not maintaining a register (e.g., Register of child workers, health register) by a factory in Andhra Pradesh?

As per the Factory Act, the penalty for not maintaining the required registers or not producing the required register to the authority on demand is as follows:

"Shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months or with a fine which may extend to ten thousand rupees or with both".

Please refer to Section 95 of the Factories Act.

As per Section 92, imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years or with a fine which may extend to one lakh rupees or with both. So, is this the correct answer to the penalty for not maintaining the register?

The amount of penalty is decided by the authority. They will not directly put individuals into imprisonment.
