Navigating Workplace Accidents: Should I Report to Factories and How to Handle ESIC Claims?

I am working with a private limited company that is a supplier to an automotive manufacturing company. We carry out engineering works. Last week, one person lost his little finger while cutting a pipe. We provided good treatment at a private hospital, but they tried their best to save his finger without success. We have reported the incident to ESIC using Form 12 online but have not reported it to the factories. Now, some people are suggesting that it should be reported to the factories, while others are warning that reporting to the factories could lead to other legal issues. I am confused about what to do next. Can anyone help me? Additionally, can someone explain how to seek a refund for the treatment expenses through ESIC?

Extract From the Factories Act, 1948 (Section 88)

Where in any factory an accident occurs which causes death or any bodily injury by reason of which the person injured is prevented from working for a period of forty-eight hours or more immediately following the accident, or which is of such nature as may be prescribed in this behalf, the manager of the factory shall send notice thereof to such authorities, and in such form and within such time, as may be prescribed.
