Working at a Client's Site That's Closing: What Happens to My Job Now?

koppunoor
Hi all,

I am currently working at the client's location, and even though the client has closed, I am still working there until all pending payments are settled. I have over 3 years of experience in HR Operations in Hyderabad. However, the company has informed me that there are no more clients for me to work with.

This clearly indicates that I will have to leave soon.

Contract Conclusion and Next Steps

After the completion of the residual work following the closure of the client, the contract between the client and your company comes to an end, either abruptly or as previously agreed. Therefore, you must return to your parent employer for further postings. Since your parent company appears to be an outsourcing company and you belong to the managerial cadre, they should provide you with a job if one is available there or elsewhere. Alternatively, they may discharge you by complying with the exit clause of your employment contract and settle your other legal dues according to your eligibility based on the number of years of service in the parent company.

Therefore, keep looking out for an alternative job based on your profile.

The company has a 30-day notice period, so if they need to relieve me on urgent closure, they have to pay me for the full 30 days' notice. I have started looking for alternatives, but being in an HR position under Operations, most companies tend to hire internal references rather than outsource. Do you know of any other sources that I can explore, apart from Naukri, Linkedin, Monster, and Shine?
