Is It True That EPS Eligibility Requires 5 Years of Service? Seeking Clarification

I have one problem, so please correct me. Someone told me that EPS and eligibility are only after completion of 05 years of service. Is that possible?

Regarding EPS 1995 pension, the eligibility criteria are as follows:

1. Ten years of PF service are required to qualify for a pension for superannuated individuals (meaning after reaching 58 years of age).

2. In the event of an employee's death while in service, the spouse is eligible for a pension.

3. If an employee passes away outside of service but has completed 10 years of PF service, the spouse is also eligible for a pension.
