Background Verification - company shut - Will they approach our office?

I have joined WNS on 30th Jan 2018. I am waiting for my background verification to get complete. Actually previously, I was working in IBO Pvt Ltd. This organisation is completely shut down & I referred them our HR's number. Our company was start up organisation, and so we were not having our office id's. Our HR got a call for BGV & they mailed few things to him. Our HR replied to them every single detail. What will be the further procedure that they will go on with? The company is shut & office premises was on rent. Will they approach our office? I am worried because, there is no one to answer them there.
I would like to hear from you as I am not aware of this things. Your valuable comments will make me feel comfortable while working.

It is not your responsibility if the company where you had been working, had shut down. You have absolutely nothing to worry.
It is surprising that a Background Verification company can give you negative remarks for this. However, this is a shocking reality as in these of Aadhar compliances for everything; certain BV companies are scamming the hiring companies in getting money for such formalities and harassing individuals.
