Dear Mr. Suresh,

The MW for highly skilled (Total) looks to be incorrect. Please check and correct it if the same is wrong.

Dear Mr. N Nataraajhan,

I have shown minimum wage (MW) only for Unskilled, Semiskilled, and Skilled categories. However, the MW of Highly skilled employees for Cement & Salt Industries was mistakenly left in. Please ignore it. Special Allowance is the same for all categories shown against the respective industries. Therefore, members can take the MW for the Highly skilled category and add the Special Allowance to it. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

I have a query related to the minimum wages. Whatever is decided as the minimum wage by the government constitutes the full payment for that particular employee, or is it only basic and special allowance?

Could someone please clarify the above query.

Dear Chittaranjan23067984@yahoo.com and Ghodkegana@gmail.com,

Forwarding the English version of Maharashtra MW for the period from July 18 to Dec. 2018. Glass Industry is shown against Sr. no. 24, and the Special allowance is Rs. 3,220, not Rs. 2,800. Rs. 2,800 was for the period from July 17 to Dec. 17. Saw Mill is shown against Sr. no. 48, and the Special allowance is Rs. 1,122. Basic amounts are Rs. 7,193.80, Rs. 7,693.75, and Rs. 8,193.75 for Unskilled, Semiskilled, and Skilled, respectively.

Hello,

Kindly share under which category Manufacturers of Electrical Stamping and Lamination fall, and also provide information on the minimum wages for 2019 in the same industry.
suresh2511
Dear Nikita, Under the Maharashtra Minimum Wages Act, industries have been classified as "Scheduled Employments." Industries that do not fall under the said scheduled employments are covered under Residuary Factories (factories not covered under the Schedule), which is listed under Sr. no. 20 of MMWages. Thus, the manufacturers of Electrical Stamping and Lamination will be covered under Resid. Fact, and the minimum wages will be as per the attached Excel sheet.

The minimum wages for January to June 2019 will be published on 5th February 2019.

Regards, Suresh

Dear Akshita,

Please take some time to read my post dated 9th January 2019, where the English version of Maharashtra Minimum Wages (MW) is attached. This document is self-explanatory and will help enhance your knowledge.

Under the Maharashtra Minimum Wages Act, industries are classified as "Scheduled Employments." Industries not falling under these scheduled employments are covered under Residuary Factories (factories not covered under the Schedule), as indicated in Sr. no. 20 of the Maharashtra Minimum Wages.

Suresh
