Can You Withdraw Your Pension Fund After 9 Years and 8 Months of Service?

sank.vns@gmail.com
I want to know about the pension fund. Is it possible for an employee who has completed 9 years and 8 months of service in a company to withdraw the pension fund instead of receiving a pension certificate from EPFO?

Yes, he can, as he has not completed a service of 10 years.

Dear Sank,

An EPS member with a membership of "9 years and 8 months" is eligible for a "Scheme Certificate."

Thank you.

Dear Sir,

I want to know if EPFO has issued us a scheme certificate against our submitted Form 10-C (total service length 9 years & 8 months) even though we had applied for pension funds instead of a scheme certificate. Can I surrender the scheme certificate and reapply for pension funds?

I am eagerly awaiting your valuable suggestion.

Dear S Kumar,

By virtue of your length of membership, i.e., 9 years and 8 months, you have been rightly issued the "Scheme Certificate." You can surrender the same consequent to taking up a job again to the concerned PF Office under acknowledgement.

Please feel happy; you are eligible for a pension after attaining 50 years/58 years or in the event of the death of the member.

Dear Sir,

I want to know if a worker has retired from his company after completing 58 years of age, can he submit a claim for pension right away or is it after 60 days? Also, which form should he submit to the EPF office: '10C' or 10D?

I am awaiting your valuable suggestions.

Regards,
Santosh Kumar
