Are Unused Paid Leaves at Outsourcing Agencies Mandatory for Encashment?

I am working in an outsourcing agency. Here, resources are deployed in different projects. As per the HR policy, employees are entitled to get 1 PL for each 20 days worked. Please let me know whether these unavailed PLs are mandatory for encashment or not.

The normal procedure in almost all labor laws providing for PL is encashment of PL at credit on the termination of employment of the employee only. However, in actual practice, most employers permit annual encashment of PL at the request of the employees concerned.

Unavailed PL at the time of termination of employment for whatsoever reason is encashable.
