What Forms Are Needed If Employees Opt Out of PF Contributions in a Small Firm?

skg0009
We are a small consulting firm with an employee strength of 20 starting from the coming month. Hence, we will fall under the PF Act from the upcoming month.

Before I register online, I have a few queries:

1) Are all the employees in my company receiving a salary of more than ₹15,000, i.e., above the basic criteria?

2) In the scenario where none of the employees wishes to start contributing to the PF account, what forms/challans do we need to submit monthly/quarterly/annually?

Dear Santosh,

If all employees are receiving a salary (Basic+DA) of more than 15000/-, then you need to obtain Form 11 (Declaration) from them, and the same needs to be kept for records.

Dear Santosh, for all employees and in the future, for new joiners, you must keep FORM-11. If there is any employee who was a previous member of PF, they must continue in your organization. Please follow what Praveen B has recommended, i.e., Basic & DA with a maximum limit of 15k per month for coverage. Also, when obtaining the PF code, check the employment status of contract employees, such as Tea Boy, Sweeper, Office Boy, Security, etc. For any further clarification, feel free to contact me if needed.

Thanks & Regards,
