Career Path Decisions in HR
First things first, you have to decide whether you want to be a generalist and climb the career ladder into a management role, or you can distill the aspects of the career you like best—teaching people, negotiating, the technical aspects, etc.—and become a niche specialist, depending on your aptitude.
1.3 years of service is too short to understand the depth and prospects of HR. You can branch out to recruitment, become an HR entrepreneur (build your own successful company, hire someone else to run it, and make passive income).
First, learn all the aspects of HR by working for longer periods in a good firm. Money is important, but if you get learning opportunities and challenges in a firm, then stick around to get adequate exposure. Knowledge is king, attitude is emperor.
