Small Company Employee Benefits: Are We Really Ineligible for PF, ESI, and Insurance?

amma.venu@gmail.com
If any registered company, what are the benefits to be provided for employees (even if the number of employees is less than 10)? I work in a small company. When we inquire about PF, ESI, medical insurance, group insurance, etc., we are told that we need more than 1 member to avail of these benefits. Can anyone provide suggestions on this? We are being informed that we are not eligible to receive these facilities as per labor law or HR policy. (This is an LLP company that has been operating for the past 4 years).

The company can provide all this and more facilities voluntarily if they wish. However, the ESIC Act or EPF Act specifies a legal minimum number of employees beyond which it is mandatory to provide certain facilities. Therefore, try to persuade your management to be more liberal.
