I have a doubt regarding Professional tax calculation. Suppose an employee takes one month's leave, then what would be the procedure to calculate PT? Should we treat that month as '0'?
If the leave is without pay and the salary calculated for that month is 0, then the PT amount will be 0. If the leave is a paid leave, then the PT amount will depend on the total payable salary.
